Scope of the role.

  • 01

Research and design interfaces for point-of-sale systems used by cashiers, managers, and warehouse operators.

  • 02

Conduct on-site user research in Malaysian retail outlets, restaurants, and distribution centres.

  • 03

Produce wireframes, interactive prototypes, and high-fidelity design specifications for web and tablet applications.

  • 04

Define product requirements jointly with engineering, shaping system behaviour rather than only visual output.

  • 05

Build and maintain the cross-product design system used by asasii POS, asasii BSC, and internal tooling.

  • 06

Run usability testing sessions and convert findings into prioritised design iterations.

Required background.

  • A portfolio demonstrating end-to-end product design: research, wireframing, visual design, and shipped outcomes.

  • Prior experience designing for operational workflows: business-to-business applications, dashboards, and production systems, not marketing surfaces.

  • Advanced Figma practice, including component systems, auto-layout, and interactive prototyping.

  • Working fluency with engineers, including the ability to adjust designs in response to technical constraints.

  • Interest in physical-digital interfaces where software meets hardware at the counter, kitchen, or warehouse floor.

Design tooling.
